My Favorite High Waisted Denim Jeans

My Favorite High Waisted Denim Jeans
Oct 1, 2017

High waisted denim jeans have been my go-to style for the past year.  Is it just me or do they seem to put everything where it’s supposed to go? They flattering most, if not all body types, can be dressed up or down, and give me the confidence a crop top that I normally wouldn’t wear. I am really hoping they aren’t a fad that plans to leave anytime soon.

Tips & Tricks for Ordering from SheIn

Tips & Tricks for Ordering from SheIn
Jul 26, 2017

SheIn, for those of you that might not know, is an online shopping website with a huge inventory at crazy low prices (seems too good to be true).  Is it? I first ran across SheIn from seeing other bloggers rave about their perfect finds and how they just got a dozen items for under $100. This girl loves a good steal. So, naturally, I did some investigation to figure out if this was some scam or the best news since Target's clothing line upped its game.

So here I am again. Wearing my favorite brand that is now taking up about 80% of my closet space. If you're a Zara fan than you know that sometimes they just hit it out of the park. This is one of those times.

I love, love this dress. Love it so much I've worn it a dozen times in 20 days. Yes, I know... it's excessive.

Spring in Germany & the Perfect Flower Dress

Spring in Germany & the Perfect Flower Dress
May 27, 2017

Spring has always been my favorite season, but since we've moved to Germany it has really become my absolute favorite.  Winter here can be brutal and the first signs of spring can make you want to dance around the city and eat ice-cream all day (at least that's what it does to me).

owever, I thought this weekend was perfect weather to wear my heeled sandals one last time and throw on a dress without tights. And that I did! Granted, I likely stood out like a sore thumb amongst the sea of coat and boot wearing Germans, but I didn't mind.

With the rainy, grey German weather, it's nice to have a little sparkle in my day-to-day.  How are you styling your midi skirts?

As the Southeast has shutdown for a “snow storm”, FB kindly reminded me that two years ago today @michaelsommers and I went car camping and woke up to this magical, winter wonderland. 😍Granted, I did catch the flu later that week... I’m still convinced that was just a coincidence. Either way, if you find yourself in Germany during the winter, these mountains are worth a quick visit (perhaps just don’t sleep in your car). 🗻🌲
Swooning over @po.mkt and wondering why I haven’t visited this precious, little shop sooner. It’s the best spot if you’re looking for gifts, natural beauty products, fun t-shirts, and all sorts of things. 💫
⛰This weekend is making up for starting 2019 with the stomach flu and being stuck in the house for one too many days.

We got to celebrate one of our favorite human’s birthday, explore Asheville and all its hippie goodness, woke up to catch the sunrise in the Blue Ridge Parkway, and finally we got to show off Max Patch to our German. At least the first weekend of 2019 was much better than my first few days 😉
Merry Christmas from our little Sommers clan. 🎄💫
Had a rare DIY moment and made “Dried Orange Garland” for our kitchen window 🍊🌿 If you’re looking for an inexpensive and easy holiday décor piece (that smells lovely, too) here’s all ya need:
— 2 large oranges sliced 1/4”
— Pretty twine
— Parchment Paper
Heat your oven to 250°, slice your oranges and pat dry, lay the slices evenly on a baking sheet, and bake for 3 hours. Flip them about 1.5 hours.
These two have my heart big time. 🎄❤️ Now that our house is getting in the full Christmas Spirit, any cheesy holiday movie recommendations? We are on babysitting duty tonight and I figured it’s the perfect time to watch out first Christmas movie of the year 💫
