My Favorite Drugstore Make-up Products

I love a good steal, especially when it comes to make-up. Make-up has always allowed me to be more confident in my own skin. However, finding the right products that suit my skin and doesn't break the bank at the same time can be a challenge.  That's why I wanted to share with you guys my absolute favorite drugstore make-up products.

I've tested make-up from all the expensive brands (Dior, Marc Jacobs, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, etc. etc.), and when it comes to certain products I always go back to the drugstore brands.  Honestly, I just prefer these products over the name brands!

Now, there are some high-end products that I do love and just haven't been able to find a dupe. But when it comes to these products, they are my ride or die and always in my makeup bag. Here is a post from the archives with a few of my favorite name brand skin products I can't live without.

Maybelline Matte & Poreless

So in Germany the packaging is different, but it's the same products shown in my photo above.  This is my go-to foundation no matter what the occasion.  It covers my flaws so perfectly and goes on super smooth.  I tried switching to "Too Face Born This Way" and then Marc Jacob's full coverage foundation, but neither looked as natural and smooth as the Maybelline Matte & Poreless.

If you have dry skin, then I would recommend the "Dewy & Smooth" version of this foundation.  I accidentally purchased it once and it went on flawlessly, but my skin was too oily for it to last as long as the matte foundation does.

Elf Powder Brush

This brush is only $3! I repeat, $3!

It's such a steal. I use this brush every single day and it is my favorite one out of my collection. I've always been really picky about my brushes and typically buy from Mac, Sephora, or Morphe.  However, Elf has really stepped up their game when it comes to brushes. Plus, for the price you really can't go wrong.

I use this brush to set my under eyes with translucent powder and mattify my face wherever I get oily (usually in the t-zone).  They advertise it as a "powder brush", but I think it's too small to be used all over the face.  However, for small areas where you just need a little bit of product it' is perfect.

NYX SOFT MATTE Lip Cream

Once I was introduced to matte lipsticks, I just couldn't go back to the old stuff.  When working in sales I would jump from meeting to meeting and didn't have time to reapply my make-up (who does?!). So, when I was introduced this lip cream I was set. I put it on as I am leaving the house and don't touch it up again until after lunch.  NYC has a really large variety of colors, but my favorite is Stockholm 02. It is the perfect pinky nude for every day!

Loreal Waterproof Voluminous Mascara

I was reintroduced this to this product when looking for a waterproof mascara for my recent Greece trip.  It's so good! If you have issues with your lashes staying curled and full throughout the day, then this product is for you.  It goes on smooth and not clumpy and really keeps my lashes looking curled all day long.

My favorite part is that it is waterproof but still washes off easily at the end of the day.  I use a little bit of baby oil and it comes right off.

Maybelline Under Eye Concealer

This concealer is one of those products that I left for a fancier brand and was so mad at myself.  If you've ever tried NARS under eye creamy concealer and loved it (but thought the price was outrageous), then this is the perfect dupe.  I think the Maybelline concealer provides more coverage than the NARs and last a lot longer.

I love this product for quickly brightening my under eyes and even doing a little bit of contour.  It blends so well and the color 02 is really great for yellow skin tones.

What are you favorite make-up brands? Would love any and all recommendations!
